submersible water supply pump, light angle iron frame, and heavy casters. All test benches are self contained except
for the 110v plug-in.

FLUID FLOW TEST BENCH
MODEL 5010
This model demonstrates four principles through the use of manometer pressure drop measurements:
- Venturi's Equation
- Orifice Plate Flowmeter
- Darcy-Weisbach Friction Law
- Miscellaneous (minor) Losses (elbows)
- Pressure drop through Control Valve
No Calibration.

TORRICELLI'S LAW AND FLUID STATICS TEST BENCH MODEL 5020 This model of the PE PROFESSOR series of fluids trainers not only demoststrates Torricelli's equation in three forms;
steady - uniform, unsteady, and nonuniform, but also is used to test the fluid statics equations.
Comes complete with:
manometer
variable area flowmeter
Bourdon tube pressure gauge
pressure at depth sensor (bathescope)
water reservoir and submersible water pump

CENTRIFUGAL PUMP PERFORMANCE TEST BENCH

head added and flow rate for a positive displacement pump ("the pumping curve")

DARCY-WEISBACH FRICTION LOSS TEST BENCH
MODEL 5040

This model in the PE PROFESSOR series of fluid mechanics trainers is a unique and alternative method to
verify the Darcy-Weisbach friction loss equations. Instead of pressure drop measurements (available on Model 5010),
this trainer utilizes gravity fall, where the friction buildup in a tube is equal to the static drop (less a small amount
for the velocity head).
Unit comes complete with:
Water reservoir (upper) complete with level control
Multiple diameter plastic tubes
Flowmeter

PARALLEL FLOW TEST BENCH
MODEL 5050

This model of the PE PROFESSOR series of fluid mechanics trainers tests for the flow through a branch circuit.
Prediction of the flow split though a parallel circuit requires a mathemtical procedure of trial and error. This
test bench tests the accuracy of that procedure.
Unit comes complete with:
